This tour starts with a drive along the north coast of Crete towards the east of the Island. Our first visit will be to the small and lively town Agios Nikolaos where you can spend some free time at the lake, the harbor or the numerous little shops and bars. After that we drive to the village Elounda. From there we continue by boat to sail over to the island Spinalonga. There you can travel through the Venetian and Turkish periods, roam through the old houses and alleys and explore the fortress to arrive at a more recent and moving part of history: The first half of the 20th century when Spinalonga was the last Leper Colony of Europe. After your visit to Spinalonga you have 2 hours of free time to stroll through the small seaside village Elounda, have a refreshing swim or enjoy the local cuisine.
